How to export your data from Noxtua

Get more control over your data in Noxtua and download your chats, projects, and templates from one central place in your settings.

Your data in Noxtua belongs to you, and with Data Export you can take a copy whenever you like. Select the categories you need, request the export with one click, and receive all files bundled in a single .zip file on your device. This lets you keep a secure backup of your work and gives you transparency into which data Noxtua holds for you.

What you can export

  • Chats: All your conversations with Noxtua. Available to all users.

  • Projects: All conversations and uploaded files from your projects. Available to all users.

  • Templates: All templates for your organization. Available to admins only.

Before you start

Data Export is available for users whose organization uses encrypted cloud storage in Noxtua. If your organization still uses browser storage, please ask your organization’s admin to switch to encrypted cloud storage. Once the switch is complete, all users in your organization will see Data Export in their settings.

Templates are saved at the organization level, so only admins can export them. If the “Templates” option is missing from your selection, please ask your admin to export your organization’s templates.

How to export your data

  1. Click “Account” in the bottom left corner.

  2. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal Settings”.

  3. Under “Data Export”, click “Export My Data”.

  4. Select the data you want to export: “Chats,” “Projects,” or “Templates” (admins only). You can select one category or all of them.

  5. Click “Request Data Export”.

A banner confirms that your download is being prepared. Once your data is ready, the .zip file is automatically saved to your default downloads folder. Unzip the file to view your exported data.

What’s in your download?

After unzipping the file, you’ll find a separate folder for each category:

  • Chats: One folder per chat, each containing the conversation as a Word (.docx) file and a .json file.

  • Projects: One folder per project, each with two subfolders for conversations and uploads.

  • Templates: One folder per template, each containing a folder with uploads (if applicable) and a .json file.
